POLITE REMINDER: Parking outside school

Dear Parent/Carer

May I please remind you that it is not permitted to park on yellow zigzag lines, in a bus bay or in an entrance to a property.  Please see the advice from the Police and an extract from the Highway Code:

Highway Code – Rule 243

DO NOT stop or park:

      • near a school entrance
      • anywhere you would prevent access for Emergency Services
      • at or near a bus or tram stop or taxi rank
      • opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space
      • in front of an entrance to a property
      • on a bend

It is vitality important that we try to keep our St. Andrew’s family safe and would appreciate your co-operation with this.  With this in mind, we are gathering evidence to send to the Local Authority to try and put parking restriction signs in place, therefore, you may see Mrs Reed outside taking photos of any vehicles parked illegally.
