Admissions Consultation
Proposed Reduction of Pupil Admission Number from 60 to 45 per year
We are proposing to change our admissions policy to adopt the following change to be in effect from September 2025:
- Reducing the Published Admissions Number (PAN) from 60 to 45
The reasons for proposing the above change are as follows:
- Our current and recent intake numbers for Reception have been below 45 and are predicted to remain at this level in the coming years.
- By making sure our intake matches demand in the area we can continue to provide the quality of education that we pride ourselves on and ensure education and business efficiency for the school.
Accordingly, the Governors are undertaking this statutory consultation process with the parents and other stakeholders for St. Andrew’s CEVA Primary School.
In accordance with statutory DfE guidance, the consultation will run for at least six weeks, commencing today, 1st November 2023, and, as an interested party in St. Andrew’s CEVA Primary, we are keen to hear your views on the proposed changes/current admission arrangements; therefore, we invite you to participate in the consultation if you have any concerns regarding the matter.
Please see below the proposed revised Admissions Policy.
All responses to the consultation should be made in writing and submitted before 12pm on 4th January 2024 to: consultation@standrewsceva.uk entitled ‘Admissions Consultation’ or by post to: Mrs Val Griffiths, Headteacher, St. Andrew’s CEVA Primary School, Ecton Brook Road, Northampton NN3 5EN.
Please note that written responses should outline your personal details, including your name, address, and relationship to the school.
At the end of the consultation period, the Governors will meet to consider responses. All responses received by the end of the consultation period will be carefully considered and will decide the admission arrangements for the school year 2025/2026.
The outcome of the consultation will be published on the school website as soon as possible following a decision being reached by the board.
If you wish to further discuss this matter, or anything mentioned in this letter, please email consultation@standrewsceva.uk
Once the arrangements have been determined, they will be publicised by 15th March 2024. We therefore invite you to take part in this consultation on the amendment to our admission policy.
