Online Family Learning courses – registration now open

We are pleased to announce that a whole suite of online free Family Learning courses will be starting next term using Google Classroom.  Parents and carers can register their interest now at:  https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/councilservices/children-families-education/adult-learning/community-learning/Pages/family-learning.aspx

The following courses will be offered, subject to demand: 

  • Arts and Crafts for Families – learning through fun creative activities
  • Family Fortunes – encouraging good money sense
  • Family Resilience – coping when life gets tough
  • Find out about Family Learning – a chance to learn more about what’s on offer and how to use Google Classroom
  • Healthy Eating on a Budget for Families – ideas for eating healthily and saving money (Family Learning will provide and deliver ingredients to families)
  • Keeping Families Safe Online – vital knowledge for today’s world
  • Keeping up with the Children: English – finding out how your children develop English skills in school
  • Keeping up with the Children: Family Language – finding out about the UK education system and how to support your children’s English learning (for EAL parents)
  • Keeping up with the Children: Maths – finding out about how maths is taught in schools
  • Mask Making for Families – learn how to make these essential items
  • Music for Little Ones – musical fun to help your children learn
  • Sewing for Families – learning new skills and recycling garments
  • Story Sacks – bringing favourite stories to life using craft
