Our usual lunchtime play was interrupted on Tuesday 7th February as our school field was needed! St Andrew’s school field was the nearest safe place for the air ambulance to land to transfer a patient in need of emergency treatment. The patient was carefully transferred to the helicopter and normal school service resumed!

Coming into land!

The children were very interested to hear about the air ambulance and how it plays an important role in our emergency services. Our prayers and good wishes are with both the patient and the staff that were involved in yesterday’s incident.
